Bro. Ron Horton has been the Senior pastor of New Prospect Baptist Church for the past 30 years (1994-Present).

Bro. Ron grew up in Winston County, attended Winston County School System. He also attended, Northwest Community College, Liberty University, Samford University, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Andersonville Baptist Theological Seminary. 

Bro. Ron has served on the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions for a total of 12 years. He also has served on various positions and committee's on the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions and the Winston Baptist Association. 

Bro. Ron has been involved in many mission trips around the country, sharing the gospel and partnering with churches and missionaries. Some of those countries are: Romania, Italy, Brazil, Guatemala and Venezuela and also in Guam and several states within the United States. He also has Co-Hosted several trips to Israel in the Holy Land for the past several years. 

Bro. Ron and his wife Renee have been married for 45 years and they have one daughter Ashley and Son-in-law, Chase Frost. They also have two fur babies too: Kitkat and Lucy!
