Vacation Bible School
At New Prospect Baptist Church, Vacation Bible School is one of our most joyful and anticipated ministries of the year. Each summer, our church is filled with children from our congregation and community as we come together for a week of Bible learning, worship, crafts, games, and meaningful connections. VBS provides a safe, fun, and faith-centered environment where children can grow in their understanding of God’s love while building friendships and lasting memories. Our goal is to share the Gospel in a way that is engaging, age-appropriate, and rooted in biblical truth.
Community Outreach
Beyond VBS, New Prospect Baptist Church is committed to serving Haleyville and the surrounding areas through ongoing outreach opportunities. We believe in being the hands and feet of Jesus by meeting practical needs, supporting families, and showing Christ’s love through action. Whether through community events, mission projects, or acts of service, our outreach ministries are designed to connect with people of all ages and stages of life. We welcome everyone to join us as we seek to love our neighbors, strengthen our community, and share the hope of Christ beyond our church walls.

Local & International Missions
At New Prospect Baptist Church, we believe God calls us to share His love both near and far. Locally, our mission efforts focus on serving Haleyville and the surrounding communities through acts of compassion, encouragement, and service. Whether supporting families in need, partnering with local organizations, or responding to opportunities to serve our neighbors, we strive to be faithful witnesses of Christ by loving others in practical and meaningful ways.
Our commitment to missions also extends beyond our local community to international mission opportunities around the world. Through prayer, giving, and hands-on involvement, we support mission efforts that share the Gospel, provide hope, and meet spiritual and physical needs across cultures and borders. As a church family, we are honored to take part in God’s work globally and encourage each member to be involved in advancing the Great Commission wherever the Lord leads.
Our sunday school ministry
Sunday School is at the heart of our church’s discipleship
and fellowship. Each Sunday morning at 9:00 AM, we gather together for
Bible study, prayer, and encouragement in classes designed for every age group.
From the youngest children to senior adults, there is a place for everyone to
grow in their knowledge of God’s Word and deepen their walk with Christ.
For children, Sunday School provides a foundation of faith
through engaging lessons, Bible stories, and activities that help them
understand God’s love in a way that is meaningful for their age. Youth classes
give students a safe place to ask questions, study the Bible, and apply God’s
truth to the challenges they face in everyday life. Adults can choose from a
variety of classes where they will find opportunities for in-depth Bible study,
discussion, and fellowship with others in similar life stages.
More than just a class, Sunday School is a community. It’s a
place to build lasting friendships, find encouragement, and experience the joy
of growing together in faith. We believe that Sunday School is an important
step for every believer as they seek to live out their faith in practical ways.

WORSHIP MINISTRY
The Music and Worship Ministry at New Prospect Baptist Church exists to glorify God and lead our congregation into meaningful, Christ-centered worship. Through a blend of traditional hymns and heartfelt praise, our worship services are designed to draw hearts and minds toward the Lord. Music plays an important role in our church life, helping prepare us to receive God’s Word while encouraging unity and spiritual growth among our church family.
Our worship team, led by Bruce Claytor and faithfully supported by pianist and worship team member Lisa Claytor, seeks to honor God by using their musical gifts with humility and joy. Together with other vocalists and musicians, they help lead our congregation in worship each week, as well as in special services and seasonal programs. We welcome participants of all ages and skill levels who feel called to serve. Through congregational singing, special music, and choir opportunities, the Music and Worship Ministry at New Prospect Baptist Church desires to uplift God’s people and point every heart to Christ.
